Per­fume Genius’ Mike Hadreas has been putting out some really good videos to accom­pany his beau­ti­ful music from his lat­est pro­duc­tion Put Your Back N 2 It. He’s most recent video for the song “Take Me Home”. The video was filmed in Seattle’s indus­trial dis­trict, near his house.

All the places that he’s walk­ing around in the video he had already been to about seven years ago, when he got kicked out of a place he was stay­ing at. He knew that it was aban­doned and creep­ily lit at night. He liked that he was going to be walk­ing it again, but very differently.

Watch below a pre­vi­ous video by Per­fume Genius for the song Hood, which was polemic for fea­tur­ing Hadreas and porno­graphic actor Arpad Mik­los embrac­ing each other wear­ing only under­wear, was deemed unsafe for fam­ily view­ing by YouTube.

On Octo­ber 27, Hadreas will per­form at Seattle’s Frye Art Museum as part of his par­tic­i­pa­tion in the exhi­bi­tion Mw [Moment Mag­ni­tude]. His videos for Put Your Back N 2 It’s “Hood” and a live video for “Learn­ing” will be shown through­out the exhibition’s run.
