
Comic book legend Alan Moore has transformed the American comic book industry. He has written stories for Batman and Superman and many of his works have been transformed into Hollywood movies. He lives in Northampton, England where he grew up.
He has produced many critically acclaimed and popular comic book series, including Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and From Hell. In a way he is the man behind the Guy Fawkes mask as it became popular thanks to David Lloyd’s illutration for the V for Vendetta comic book. His book ‘Lost girls’ explores the sexual fantasies of three figures from children literature, Alice from Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Wendy from Peter Pan.

He has been drag into the mainstream by the successful movie adaptations that have been made of his work. Though according to Mr. Moore he has distance himself as much as possible from those films because they have got absolutely nothting to do with his books even though he has never seen any of these movies.
“Next to Philip K Dick, Alan Moore may just be Hollywood’s favourite ideas man.” That is according to an article in The Gurdian regarding a series of “occult, noir flecked” short films titled Show Pieces that Alan Moore is working on with director Mitch Jenkins.

The first installment, entitled Act of Faith was recently shot in London. The second piece, Jimmy’s End, will be filmed in Northampton later this summer.
